CheBanca! National Theatre is located close to Piazza Piemonte in Milan. National Theatre is one of the most important theatres in Milan: a prestigious and avant-garde location, composed of different spaces that can accommodate up to 1.400 people. Inaugurated in 1924, in 2009 it was completely restored. The renovation was part of an urban renewal of Piazza Piemonte, with the creation of a green area and underground parking. Among the new features, there is the introduction of the typical Broadway "long running show" model, i.e. producing "first class" musicals on the American model and keeping them on stage, at the same theatre, for many months or years.
