Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone is a multifunctional complex located in Rome and designed by the great Italian architect Renzo Piano. It was inaugurated on April 2, 2002 and today covers an area of 55.000 sqm in the Parioli district of Rome. The structure consists of three concert halls, located in buildings of different sizes, with a shape reminiscent of a scrabble: the three halls are arranged radially around an open-air theatre, the cavea, which can host about 3.000 spectators. The Auditorium hosts multidisciplinary events, rock, pop, jazz, contemporary, opera, electronic music concerts as well as theatre, dance, literature, exhibitions and special occasions such as the Rome Film Festival.
