Nelson Mandela Forum, formerly known as Palasport, is the most important sports arena in the city of Florence. In Mandela Forum take place many activities, both sporting and cultural, and the naming to Nelson Mandela wants to be a symbol of meeting and a open, global and multicultural community. The structure has a covered area of 10.000 sqm and outdoor areas of 15.000 sqm. Born in 1985, it is suitable for a differentiated and multifunctional use, being able to host sports events, concerts, exhibitions, conferences and meetings, shows, meetings and parties. Over 500.000 people attend the Mandela Forum every year. The structure is among the top ten sports venues in Italy as capacity.
