Auditorium Manzoni Theatre is located in the centre of Bologna and is dedicated to classical music. It is mainly used for the concert season of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipal Theatre of Bologna, but also for light music concerts. It was inaugurated in 1933 as a cinema and theatre and built in Art Nouveau style, as can be seen from the external facades and interior decorations. In 2003 it was completely restored and the transformation into an Auditorium aimed at completely revisiting the building to achieve high acoustic quality for music, especially symphonic music. The automated inclination of all the panels, which make up the acoustic shell, is the prerogative of the Auditorium Manzoni in order to be able to make the music correctly heard by the audience present in any sector of the theatre.
