The Roman Theatre is part of the excavations in the archaeological area of Fiesole which also include the baths, an Etruscan-Roman temple and an archaeological museum The theatre is built according to Greek models and is still considered one of the oldest existing Roman theatres since it was built in the 1st century B.C. It was restored and embellished numerous times. The cavea has a diameter of 34 m, the upper staircase is destroyed, while the lower ones are well preserved. The theatre is still used for various performances and concerts.
