Teatro Carcano, designed by the architect Luigi Canonica, was inaugurated in 1803 with Zaira of Voltaire set to music by Vincenzo Federici.

The theatre, after the renovation of 2010, can hosts from 1200 to 1500 spectators. The venue has modern stage technological equipment, lightning and audio system with console, video projection system, cloakroom service and bar.

Teatro Carcano hosts musical, concerts, shows but also dance recital, fashion shows, TV commercials, conventions, and political conferences.

Among the most important artists who perfomed at Teatro Carcano we can find Vittorio Gassman, Giorgio Gaber, Franca Rame, Lella Costa, Paolo Poli, Giuseppe Pambieri and the Nobel Dario Fo.
